ABOUT ELLIOT GUIDRY

Born and bred in the heart of Houston, TX, Elliot Guidry discovered his passion for visual storytelling at the intersection of raw talent and untold stories. While studying at Texas Southern University (TSU) in 2006, armed with a camera and an unwavering dedication to his craft, he embarked on a mission to bring the local entertainment scene to life through his lens.

In 2009, Elliot established Houston TREND Magazine (now known as You Houston), a groundbreaking magazine dedicated to spotlighting local artists, local trends, and the heartbeat of the entertainment scene. Houston TREND Magazine serves as a testament to Elliot’s commitment to uplifting and celebrating the rich tapestry of local talent. Houston TREND Magazine serves as a visual tapestry, featuring in-depth interviews, striking visuals, and exclusive content that brings the stories of emerging talents to a broader audience.

In 2022, the recognition of Elliot’s work reached new heights as he found himself capturing moments on the red carpet for the prestigious BET Awards. Elliot has also had the honor of penning lyrics for a Grammy-nominated album “Taste the Sky” by Uncle Jumbo.

Elliot commenced the development and production of groundbreaking podcasts such as, 93.7 The Beat Presents: Beatin’ Down Yo’ Block w/ DJ Shanté, The Donnie Houston Podcast, InDmix Podcast, Hustle to the Top Podcast w/ Mikos Adams, A couples podcast called Burnt Biscuits and Cold Eggs. Elliot has hosted “trend talk” with co-host J.Renae, and the “Too Be Told Podcast” with Coreigh Terry.

In videography, Elliot Guidry has seamlessly translated stories into moving images. From music videos for artists like Richelle Gemini and Live performances for Jack Freeman that rhythmically narrate an artist’s journey to behind-the-scenes glimpses that offer a personal connection, his videography adds a dynamic layer to the storytelling experience.

Through his work, Elliot Guidry has bridged the gap between artists and their audiences, fostering a sense of community and mutual appreciation for the local entertainment scene. His projects serve as a cultural archive, documenting and celebrating the diversity and creativity of the artistic landscape.
